Ralph and Jack Spratt in the Services Club.
The framed newspaper story between them describes the
awarding
of Bronze Stars to Jack's crew by General Patton. They
had bailed
out of their B-17 near the front line in France, and
were rescued by
Patton's soldiers. Patton expressed his gratitude for
the 8th AAF's
support of his army by awarding Bronze Stars to the entire
crew.
